Family Farming At It's Finest

Owners Lisa and Keith Soames have a passion for the land with decades of experience in cattle and livestock production. Their first property was purchased near Bathurst which successfully ran both cattle and sheep. Their second property was purchased in 2015 in the beautiful valleys of Dungog, which they now call home. “Warrington Station”, was named in honour of an old family name.

OUR MISSION

Warrington Station was founded with the goal of producing restaurant grade beef with top quality genetics, high marbling and growth scores.

The farm consists of 3066 acres with river flats and beautiful rolling hills, making it perfect for fattening steers and providing great nutrition for pregnant cows. Warington station runs a self replacing, pure angus herd and growing steers to feedlot weight.

Warrington station was primarily commercially based up until 2022 where we have made the decision to become stud based. This decision was driven by the increasing demand for high-quality stud cattle in the market, as well as the family's passion for breeding and genetics. With the addition of new stud lines, Warrington station has quickly gained a reputation for producing exceptional cattle with superior genetics

Farming With Passion

The next generation of Soames’s are equally passionate and knowledgeable about stock production, and bring new ideas relating to the most up to date technologies, safer handling techniques, reproductive enhancements, and genetic improvement to our cattle.

We are now using reproductive technologies to grow and improve the herd with embryo flushing and transfers, AI (artificial insemination), and analysis of each cow’s individual EBV’s to successfully select a prime bull for improved offspring each generation.
