Prime Black Angus Cattle Stud In The Productive Dungog Valleys
A co-operating herd, for the Angus Australia Sire Benchmarking Program
In response to consumer demand for sustainably farmed and carefully grown premium beef, ‘Warrington Station’ has adopted and implemented safe, low stress handling for the cattle, as well as pasture improved paddocks for grain free, antibiotic free beef.
The Angus Sire Benchmarking Program (ASBP) is a major research initiative of Angus Australia with support from Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) and industry partners such as Rangers Valley Feedlot and John Dee Abattoir.
Warrington Station is a family owned and operated black Angus beef cattle stud situated in the beautiful Dungog valleys, at the base of the Barrington Tops National Park. Our passion for producing quality beef stems from a long family history of farming.
Our top priority is our cattle’s welfare. Each cow is an individual and treated accordingly. Their needs are uniquely addressed, whether that be decided by our vet, or choosing the best genetic traits & EBV stats in the bulls, to sire their next offspring.
Angus cattle are renowned for not only their restaurant grade meat, but also for having extremely calm temperaments. Due to these attributes, its very easy to adopt low stress handling techniques, making our farming very productive and safe for the cattle.
In our opinion the genetics of the angus breed are by far superior to any other beef breed due to the extensive ability to track and trace back the cow's bloodlines and EBV's statistics. This allows us as producers, to identify improvements we can make to our herd - whether that be enhancing their structural soundness or increasing marbling of the meat to suit customer demands.
